How ‘Little Bird’ came to be:

“This next song came from two years ago. Summer’s day, me and my lady friend were bike riding and we got back to hers. There was this chicken on the road with its leg kind of gammy and arm kind of cut up. She was, I’d like to say…she’d started training to be a vet… studying veterinary science and shit. So she was like, “Wicked, let’s fix this chicken!” ‘cause it had a fucked up leg and stuff. So me being me, her being her, she wanted to fix the chicken, and I wanted a cup of tea and go to sleep. So I made a cup of tea and went to bed. And when I woke up, the chicken was dead. I felt so awful, so I wrote a song for the chicken.  And…and for her.”
